Newark Arts Partnership:
Putting the 'A' in STEAM
Recognizing a lack of education about the exciting intersections between arts and STEM, TechShare partnered with Newark Arts, an organization of Newark’s local artists. We coordinated with artists such as Hanniel Whyte, a Newark-based graphic designer. Together we developed a curriculum to teach students at the Boys & Girls Club of Newark and the West Side Park Community Center about how the arts and STEM can be used together to create and innovate. In doing so, we hope to promote the accessibility of STEAM education to students with diverse interests.
